Brad Roberts was the architect and lead developer for Producer's Database Project Manager rewrite project. He re-architected entire system, developed primary functionality and mentored other Starz developers. The project was successfully released to 80 users on a compressed schedule.
The Starz Producers are responsible for creation of media content and interstitial advertisements that run between scheduled Starz movies. This system provides a compreshensive platform for managing media projects and tracking vast amounts of rough media content over 80 producers.

Built Starz.com Admin Toolset: Redesigned and coded J2EE administrative toolset for loading Starz movie previews data into production database. Web-based application allows Web developers to dynamically build a list of movie preview information and video streams from available titles. Once the list has been approved, the application will automatically load the list into the Starz.com production database system. This toolset provided significant efficiency improvements for Web team and automated a process that was previously done manually. See Screen Shots Below...
Resolved EJB Deployment Issues: Worked with new Java developer to migrate an existing production management J2EE application from JBuilder8 to JBuilderX platform. Worked to resolved various deployment and runtime issues. This project was more complex, because the code base was part J2EE and part Sybase PowerDyanamo.
Resolved EJB Runtime Issues: Worked with new project developer to assess EJB problems in production application that manages production of Starz commercial segments. Worked through several design and implementation issues successfully. |
